Govt trying to address journalists’ issues: Chandio

KARACHI: Adviser to Chief Minister Sindh on Information and Archives, Moula Bux Chandio, lighted candles in the remembrance of martyred journalists at Karachi Press Club (KPC).

On this occasion, Moula Bux Chandio said that the government is well aware about the problems and difficulties being faced by media personnel. In his address, he said that the Sindh government and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) are trying to solve the difficulties of media persons adding that every Pakistani knows the struggle of Pakistan People’s Party for the freedom of journalists.

He said that all over the world journalists are working at a very high risk situation but in Pakistan our journalists are facing most harmful circumstances but they are doing their duties in a good manner. He said, “I pay tribute to the services rendered by print and electronic media for freedom of journalism in the country”.

The adviser said that the government and media persons are trying to coordinate with each other to solve the problems of people.

He said, “I hope that the media can point out negative and positive aspects of the society and due to this we are able to solve the problems of masses. The Sindh government paid tribute to journalists who were martyred during their duties”.

The KPC General Secretary A H Khanzada, journalists from printed and electronic media were also present on the occasion.
