Despite outcry, bid to tame SAMAA continues KARACHI: Several journalist organizations as well as religious and political parties voiced strong disapproval over the forced closure of SAMAA transmission in most areas of the metropolis. Expressing solidarity with the SAMAA, political parties and journalist organizations raised hue and cry in protest against the unknown people, who bludgeoned the closure of SAMAA telecast in several areas of the mega city. Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ), Pakistan Media Forum, Jamaat-e-Islami and Ahle Sunnat Wal-Jamaat excoriated the closure in strong terms. Meantime, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon assured the news channel of restoration at the earliest. But, the clock is still ticktocking as the blockage will complete 24-hour span at 8am today. Prime Minister House also condemned the forced closure of SAMAA telecast in Karachi.
