PFUJ condemns threats to journalist

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) and National Press Club (NPC) strongly condemned hurling threats to senior journalist of Geo News and General Secretary RIUJ Mr. Asif Ali Bhatti by the terrorist outfits for the last two weeks.

A joint meeting of PFUJ, RIUJ and NPC held in the NPC on Friday where Mr. Asif Ali Bhatti briefed the meeting regarding telephonic threats and messages sent to him from the terrorists outfits.

The meeting strongly condemned the intimidation that threats to the life of Mr. Asif Bhatti and his family. The meeting decided to lodge FIR against the unknown terrorists sending threats to him.

Later, the leaders of the journalists lodged a written complaint with the Kohsar police station to take legal action against the people involved in the offence.
