Pakistan: Two staffers of Dunya television injured in IED blasts in Quetta.

Quetta: Two staff members of Dunya television were injured when improvised explosive devices (IED) exploded, the first IED went off near the office of a transport company at Khezai Chowk area. Reporter Ibrar Ahmed and Cameraman Rehmat Ali reached the area to cover the first explosion, then the second IED exploded. Ahmed and Ali were seriously injured and shifted to Aga khan Hospital Karachi on Friday evening.

The back to back blast took 1 life of rescue worker of Chippa Welfare Association and 11 others, including four policemen, have been injured in two explosions within half an hour.
Syed Ali, Brother of Rehmat Ali told PPF that “Ball bearing have hit the Lungs and heart arteries of Rehmat ali, and he’s in very critical condition, under observation of Doctors and Ibrar is being operated for injury in right leg and shoulder, we have been provided Fokker Plane by Government of Balochistan to bring these two injured journalist to Karachi”

“The explosive device attached to motorbike was detonated by remote control” said, Deputy Inspector General for Quetta, Abdul Razzaq Cheema in Press Briefing.
While talking to Media, Balochistan Home Minister Ziaullah Langau said that the bomb blasts could be a reaction to Wednesday’s operation against terrorists in Quetta. Six alleged militants were killed during a five-hour operation by the CTD and intelligence agencies Wednesday morning at a compound in Quetta’s Eastern Bypass area.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has directed officials to submit a report on the incident.
