CPNE Reforms Committee announced

Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) President Arif Nizami has announced to constitute CPNE Constitution Reforms Committee.

A statement issued by Dr Jabbar Khattak, CPNE secretary general, said that the approval for setting up the Constitution Reforms Committee was given during a recent meeting of CPNE’s Standing Committee.

According to the announcement, the Code of Ethics Committee’s purpose is to examine CPNE Constitution and suggest/prepare amendments accordingly. The committee will be liable to inform the Standing Committee of CPNE about its decisions and recommendations.

CPNE Secretary General Dr Jabbar Khattak was appointed chairman, while Kazim Khan, Managing Editor of Daily Times, was appointed deputy chairman of CPNE Constitution Reforms Committee. Chief Editor of Pakistan Today Arif Nizami, Imtinan Shahid (Daily Khabrain), Rehmat Ali Raazi (Daily Taqat), Tahir Farooq (Daily Ittehad), Aijazul Haq (Daily Express), Aamer Mahmood (Kiran Digest Group), Imtiaz Alam (Monthly South Asian Journal), Anwar Sajidi (Daily Intekhab), Ghulam Nabi Chandio (Daily Pak) and Abdul Rehman Mangrio (Daily Indus Post) would be the members of the committee.
